How the bracket challenge works
Once the regular season is over and the conference has its sixteen seeds, pick a winner in every game of the Big 12 tournament in Kansas City: fifteen games, from the first round to the final. Every pick has to be a team that can actually be in that game, so the bracket fills in from your own earlier picks.
Brackets lock at the first tip of the first round. After that nothing can be changed, and every bracket is published on the board.
Scoring
- First round: 1 point a game (four games)
- Second round: 2 points a game (four games)
- Quarterfinals: 4 points a game (four games)
- Semifinals: 8 points a game (two games)
- Final: 16 points
A perfect bracket is 60. The board also shows what each bracket can still reach: the points of every game not yet played whose picked winner is still alive. Ties share a rank.
Men's and women's are separate brackets with separate boards, one account for both.
